Strange nov line???

Hi,

Using pgnus 0.87, XEmacs 21.2 b16 under NT.

I tried to read the relcom.politics newsgroup. Gnus showed lots of
messages on that group, but when I tried to open it, after -
apparently - reading the headers, it showed the "strange nov line
(###)" status for some time, with the numbers spinning, and eventually
said there were no messages to display. Opening the same group with MS
OE works just fine. Any ideas? (the relcom.* hierarchy is a Russian
one, with lots of cyrillic (koi-8) chars, in some headers too - could
this be the problem?).

Below as an example is one of the messages from that group, retrieved
via OE.

Don't use it.  It has known nasty problems with overview files.  Install
0.88 ASAP and regenerate your overview files.

Thanks. Installed .88, did nnml-generate-nov-databases. Still, the
same problem persists - gnus didn't fetch a single message from that
group.

Oops... misunderstanding on my part.  I saw 'nov' and immediately jumped to 
the wrong conclusion.

Anyway, AFAIK, Gnus groks 8-bit header data (even if it happens to be
illegal).  I think seeing the offending overview file entry would help but
that is probably impossible. :(

Reading that group under XEmacs 21.2.16 under Linux with 0.91 seems to 
work OK.  So perhaps it's an NT-related bug?  Can someone who uses NT
try to debug this?
