Hi,
when the first line in a posting matches
`gnus-button-mid-or-mail-regexp', I get
"You must define `(nil)' to use this button"
when I click on the button. Buttons like `http://gmane.org/' or
`leafnode(8)' don't show this problem [1].
I couldn't figure out what is the problem. The regexp? The handler?
Any ideas?

It's from the function `gnus-button-push' in `gnus-art.el'. Any idea

Hm... Looking at the code, I guess `(gnus-button-entry)' returns
nil. Try edebugging that function to see whether enlightenment
occurs.
