Where did you get the gnu-unifont font? This is new to me. Oh - is
it part of intlfonts or whatever that's called?

Empty boxes here. I use this in my ~/.Xdefaults:
Emacs*font: -b&h-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-sans-12-120-75-75-m-70-iso8859-1
