The paragraphs are generally ended with "<br><br>", and w3 (quite
rightly) reders this as a single line break, giving you paragraphs
without empty lines in between.

nnslashdot could transform "<br><br>" to "<p>" -- I think that would
be safe.  Fix in cvs.

There doesn't seem to be any set citing convention on Slashdot.  Many
use <blockquote> (as does nnslashdot when posting), and some use <it>
or <em> or <b> or nothing.  Dontcha just lurve html?  :-)
