Subject: unplugged but going on-line

Is gnus supposes to go on-line when in unplugged mode?
Running gnus-unplugged, If I press <RET> on an nntp group belonging to
a server that is NOT included in Agent umbrella. Gnus rushes on line
to get the messages for that group even though the mode line says
`unplugged'. That seem wrong to me. Is it the normal behavior?
