Yes, that would be great.  And if there's a way to, er, ensure the
"distance" between two colours -- one colour would be constant (the
background colour), and one would be altered to have sufficient distance
to be readable, but still retain something of its colour.

It may be difficult to do generally (I mean, trying to make pink
readable on a red background sounds hard), but it'd totally rock.  :-)

Nice.  Are you pushing that to Emacs?  Looks useful to me when fiddling
with CSS files and the like.
