Setting Gcc intelligently is better: before the extra copies even
exist, it identifies them accurately and "deletes" them.  We avoid the
work of saving an extra copy and of comparing potential duplicates.

We put Mail-Followup-To in our outgoing message to instruct them not
to do that.
