Well,  that  depends  on  what  is understood  under  "special  case".
"^Pine", ""^slrn" and  "\\.fsf@" sound like special cases  to me. Well
this in the eye of the beholder :-).

Yep, this would also suffice.

It was just a matter of style, to make gnus-button-mid-or-mail-heuristic cleaner.
