Subject: SPC problem in the Gnus *Summary* buffer.
Date: 24 Feb 2001 12:53:12 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <m3r90ootmf.fsf@fermat.mts.jhu.edu> (raw)

I would *really* like to find out what's going on here.

Recap: I switched to XEmacs 21.2 betas a few weeks ago and I have this
really annoying problem that in a tty gnuclient, the SPC key does not
scroll the article (or move to the next article). SPC does execute
`gnus-summary-next-page'. I don't have this problem XEmacs 21.1.12 /
5.8.8 or oGnus, but it does crop up in XEmacs 21.2.44 / Gnus 5.8.8.

This seems to suggest that is an XEmacs problem.

Last time I brought this up, ShengHuo suggested:

,----
| Try this command in the summary buffer with this SPC problem.
|
| "M-: (eq (window-frame (get-buffer-window gnus-article-buffer t))
| (selected-frame)) RET"
|
| If it returns nil, it means that SPC is scrolling the article buffer
| in another frame.
|
| ShengHuo
`----

The eval-expr returns t.

Should I report this to the xemacs-beta list?
