Subject: behavior I don't understand (newbie question)
Date: 06 Dec 1999 08:40:00 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m3r9h06vdb.fsf@harvee.billerica.ma.us> (raw)
I'm trying to understand gnus and all of its features so please forgive some
of these questions if they are RTFM, it's a big manual.
When I bring up a newsgroup, I started getting listings for articles that
weren't there. When I look with tin, the articles are there. So I mark all
the messages as read, and then re-enter the group in an attempt to read all
the old messages. Once all of the old messages are brought up, the thread
I was looking for no longer exists.
what am I missing?
this behavior happens with pgnus-0.98 and gnus-5.8.2
