I ran into a nasty little problem last night. Trying to retrieve a large
group into the agent caused Emacs to suck up so much memory that the system
became unusable. The cause: everything in the group was being held in a
buffer in memory, like a large nnfolder.

WIBNI Gnus could write out the buffer when it exceeds a certain threshhold
or as they are received?
