OK, several things I hope you can clarify - remember I'm not that good with the Gnus internals :) - why do your own gnus-fetch-field? - with spam.el, the code gets invoked at summary exit, so probably there's no need to do all that article viewing magic in rs-gnus-summary-fetch-field.
