Subject: nnfolder-generate-active-file doesn't do the right thing.
Date: Thu, 02 Sep 1999 17:23:18 GMT	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <m3u2pd448p.fsf@duchess.twilley.org> (raw)

I've got a boatload of archive folders over the past year that
suddenly are no longer visitable from the *Group* buffer.

Signaling: (error "Couldn't request group nnfolder+archive:mail.1998-06: No such group: mail.1998-06")
  signal(error ("Couldn't request group nnfolder+archive:mail.1998-06: No such group: mail.1998-06"))
  error("Couldn't request group %s: %s" "nnfolder+archive:mail.1998-06" "No such group: mail.1998-06")
  gnus-select-newsgroup("nnfolder+archive:mail.1998-06" nil nil)
gnus-summary-read-group-1("nnfolder+archive:mail.1998-06" nil nil nil nil nil)
gnus-summary-read-group("nnfolder+archive:mail.1998-06" nil nil nil nil nil nil)
  gnus-group-read-group(nil nil nil)
  gnus-topic-read-group(nil)
* call-interactively(gnus-topic-read-group)

Yet, it's there and readable.

[jmt@duchess jmt]$ ls -al Mail/archive/mail.1998-06
-rw------- 1 jmt jmt 141001 Jul 4 1998 Mail/archive/mail.1998-06

I can successfully read the current month's archive.

Running M-x nnfolder-generate-active-file doesn't help.

Thoughts?

Jack.
