So if you have the latest bzr Emacs and git Gnus (compiled with imagemagick support, but who hasn't?), then behold! <x1-H/P+HRQVbN4TlDqBDw6m5FmmzO4@gwene.org> Teh kitteh!!! It moves! However, the following looks odd: <x1-8c/rAXfvuRcLBkDgo9B91wCjeQ4@gwene.org> I have a black Emacs background, and the blackness "shines through". Is that a known issue? -- (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) larsi@gnus.org * Lars Magne Ingebrigtsen ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

I thought that perhaps a white background would look better, but it still looks as bad. So I think that the `create-animated-image' and related functions do something odd when cycling through the images. (That Message-ID is from the news.gwene.org news server. Some images look OK, while others have the "background shines through" problem. -- (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) larsi@gnus.org * Lars Magne Ingebrigtsen ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

When you open the GIF in The Gimp and look at the Layers window, the GIF has a background picture and the rest of the frames are of the "combine" type. Might Emacs be starting at the wrong end, or perhaps it doesn't support "combine"? Best regards, -- "Accept the mystery!"
