| ObPointless: '-1' is the default behaviour when sending 'ls' output to
| a pipe. It's been this way forever (or thereabounts :))
ObNotPointless: '-1' is a Good Thing to include just in case your (or
someone else's) shell has an alias for ls which includes switches like -C
or -F which will override the fallback to -1 behaviour when piping ls
output. Or, in other words, do not assume that 'default' behaviour will
always work, because it will not.
