This *has* to be a Per> single-key command, not requiring any key modifiers. I've read maybe six thousand email messages over the past eighteen months, and not once have I used a command that would delete the current message and go on to the next message. Sure, I'll mark the most recent message read and go on. I could even set things up such that all read messages get deleted when I exit the group, which would have the effect you desire. But I don't. I like mail. I save it. I let it gracefully expire if necessary and archive it as I desire. I see no need for this command. Others may, but I'd never hit it. Please save my keys for more useful commands. Jack. (one with gnus?) -- Jack Twilley jmt at nycap dot rr dot com http colon slash slash jmt dot dhs dot org slash tilde jmt slash
