Subject: Saving a *.tar file
Date: 09 Mar 1999 06:53:57 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <m3zp5m67ei.fsf@chub.local.net> (raw)

Summary:

Running version pgnus-80, how would one save a *.tar attachment to
file from a recieved e-mail with tar file attached? When moving to
the button and pressing <RET>, dired "tar" mode is called in an 'mm'
buffer. Of course one could use those commands to work with the
files, save them etc. But how about just a direct save to file. I
find no commands for that with C-h m in summary buffer or article
buffer.

When recieving a *tar.gz file then I am given the opportunity to save
it direct to file when pressing <RET> on its button. The same
approach with a *.tar file calls up dired and displays the tarred
files.
