Sorry folks, seems I fell off the list, which is why I'm responding to
this thread in such an annoying way.

No. I do have `nnmail-treat-duplicates' set to 'delete, but setting
it to 'warn didn't help.

Yeah, it's not. :-(
Here's another piece of the puzzle: The message-id's from my followups
are making it into ~/.nnmail-cache, but the articles are not making it
into the mail groups anywhere.
Hmm, I wonder if this is a caching problem? I'll turn it off, test,
and see what happens.
