diary, a simple generalisation of the draft backend

Hello

I just had  a look into the nndiary backend and found it a little
complicated. I would be happy with a simple clone of the draft backend
with one additional feature:

    -  the ability to manipulate the date of the post.


Additionally one should clone the function message-dont-send, so that
the post lands in that modified draft folder.

Anybody knows about such a pkg?

  Although I haven't touched it in a very long time, unfortunately, I
still plan to make it compatible with the ics format. This is unlikely
to make it *less* complicated...

  Can't you just have a special draft group and edit the articles in there?

But how to send posts to that other draft group and how to change the
dates?
Nnml-archive groups allow me to change the date, but how can I send post
to them?

  Remotely ? Otherwise, You can just Bm to it from another group...

  and edit/save the article in there with De and then C-c C-c
