the problem is solved, but i don't remember what it was ATM.  i posted
a fup on ding, i think.

btw, why do you set MFT to myself and ding@gnus.org?  i read ding on
gmane, so that would fail, and i don;t want curtousy copies from
myself.  what's this about?
