Hi,
I posted this to de.comm.software.gnus and gnu.emacs.gnus already but
didn't get an answer:
Is it possible to have a quick look at the body of a small message
residing on the IMAP server without downloading the possibly large
attachement at the same time ?
GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.1.2600) of 2003-03-28 on buffy
Gnus v5.10.6
Thanks
Martin

As far as I know, no, not without changing how Gnus works today.

In that case, is it possible to speed up Gnus' downloading of
attachments to IMAP messages? If I get an attachment of several
megabytes I typically need to cancel the message download (and go
unplugged and quit Gnus because otherwise it will try to resume the
download the next time I do anything) and download the message with
another program because nnimap processes downloads so slowly.

Freely translated from German:
If you interrupt the download by C-g and kill the buffer ' *nnimap...'
you don't need to restart gnus, it suffices to restart the imap process.
