Hmm. Let's assume person foo has sent me 4 mails. I want to reply to
them all, but not in 4 separate replies, rather in one big mail. FWIK,
it isn't possible yet. Of course, this feature should depend on
marks. You mark n messages, and pressing a magic key combination makes
a huge reply out of all those messages. This feature would be great, huh?

When in doubt, parenthesize. At the very least it will let some
poor schmuck bounce on the % key in vi.

I've been wanting this for ages. You should see the thread trees in
my inbox as a result of two people doing branched conversations...

Try doing that, and report back to us what happens. :-)

(The "magic key combination" is `R', by the way.)

Have you tried # # # F?

Gnus appears to base headers (recipients/subject/references) on the
first message instead of trying to combine them. Also, I sometimes
get an error on this; I'll try to remember to send Lars a backtrace
next time.

Doesn't this feature exist already?? Well at the moment I marked the
two mails with '#' and pressed 'F' and voila!

You mark all articles you want to reply to, and press `F'. You still have
to adjust headers, but most of the job is done.

I once asked Lars to collect and prepare an accumulated header so this
feature fully works. He replied that this would change the semantic
too much (or maybe take too much distance from some standard, I do not
remember exactly). So, I do the little editing job by hand, each time.
