Some are definitely more more questionable than others, and using local American dates for international mail has always been and is still very questionable. I seriously suggest that we switch to ISO 8601, which is a much more sounded standard, and truly international. Take a look at: http://www.ft.uni-erlangen.de/~mskuhn/iso-time.html.
