Hello,

Today, just another question (silly one ?). When reading another time
my Bible a.k.a. the "Gnus Manual" looking for nothing in particular, I
faced the GroupLens feature of Gnus.

As presented in the manual, it sounded quite great to me but as a
unexperienced user of this, I just wanted to know how efficient it was
?

First, is there any people using it ? And then how do you feel with it
? Are the predictions efficient enough to be taken seriously in
consideration ?

Voila ;)

Regards,

Quoting the section:

NOTE: Unfortunately the GroupLens system seems to have shut down, so
this section is mostly of historical interest.

Perhaps the warning should be moved to the top of that section so it
isn't missed. Yes, done.

Oops, I didn't see it ;)

Yes clearly a good thing.

Sorry the disturbance

This is indeed rather unfortunate -- I had tried GroupLens back when it
still worked and it was quite good. It's a pity the project has gone
commercial (I think it became FireFly, which later became part of
Microsoft).

Perhaps we should revive the concept and apply it to, say, GMANE?

Hey; there's an idea... :-)
