Hello,

I may be wrong but it seems there were significant changes on
Faces front in Gnus since my color-theme settings no longer work.

Have you changed anything but face names recently ?

When using a development version, you're supposed to follow the list
or read the ChangeLogs.  Hint: 2005-06-16.

The problem, that this change breaks all color-themes does still
exist. To be more specific: My customized faces are only used if I call
color-theme-foo after Gnus has loaded, if I first load the color-theme
and then Gnus, the customized faces aren't used.

Did you ever realize how much text fits in eighty columns? If you now consider
that a signature usually consists of up to four lines, this gives you enough
space to spread a tremendous amount of information with your messages. So seize
this opportunity and don't waste your signature with bullshit nobody will read.

Hum thanks. In fact I don't follow and read changelogs for a few
months now (I am in a big hurry). Sorry for that and thank you

Did you report the problem to Miles back then?  (IIRC has asked for
feedback on this list.)

I don't know anything about color-theme and I'm not familiar with the
face-alias mechanism.

Maybe you can put something in...

Yeah that's the expected behavior :p I am about to publish a new
release since I have several bug fixes to release.

I've been working around this in `color-theme-hober2'[0] by defining
both the old face name and the new face name.

No sorry, I don't follow the lists as closely as I used to. Couldn't we
put the face alias definitions in gnus-load.el?
