My, what a thread. What if there's an option to add a domain part to unqualified addresses? I've seen this in many MUAs. In fact on our campus we build the Mulberry installer to do this, for the very reasons that Pat describes. At least for us, this has worked out very well. The main MX host then knows what inbox server that individual is using. Amos
