You *can* use nnmh, so you can read mail outside news as you stated, however, nnml is a much nice backend for gnus (as its quite a bit faster). And, since the file format is pretty much identicaly, there is no reason you can't use the nnml backend and read the messages using regular mh commands. (its the 'inc' that will break things, if you do one). I actually want to stick with nnml and have it write a .mh_sequence file is all... Wes -- "Ninjas aren't dangerous.
