It seems like gnus-summary-pop-article is much more useful than
gnus-summary-goto-last-article; why not by default bind "l" to
gnus-summary-pop-article?

`l' is more like `C-x C-x' in a way -- it toggles between the two last
articles. I actually think that's more useful than going backwards in
the list of read articles. Probably.
