It really depends on the connection you have. For instance, I retrieve
and display picons from the network. Things usually go rather fast for me.
Only sometimes. around 17h00, the connection might slow down and it becomes
annoying, so I eventually turn off the picons. Another thing to consider is
that my XEmacs sessions usually lasts for several weeks, so I end up having
many of the picons in the cache (and no more swap ;-).
