Subject: nnimap header cache and uidunvalid groups
Date: 07 Feb 2000 09:54:22 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <r9puu99yv5.fsf@shs4.idasys.se> (raw)
When my INBOX becomes uid-unvalid because I have read mail with a
local mail client, the header cache that nnimap uses makes the summary
buffer show the wrong information.
What happens is that the summary buffer will show information for
message N that were valid for message N before I changed the contents
of the INBOX behind the IMAP servers back. The IMAP server has
obviously detected that and changed the uid for the folder, and when I
view a message in the folder I see the correct message. But the
summary buffer won't be right.
Deleting the files from the News/cache directory helps, but nnimap
should be able to invalidate the cache by itself.
