If Gnus is used under Win32 this is required: (setq nnheader-file-name-translation-alist '((?: . ?_) (?+ . ?-))) OTOH this should be the default for theese systems -- so make sure the variable contain the proper value. Gnus hanging up under Xemacs/NT is the main reason I'm not using XEmacs/NT right now. Perhaps its worth another look....
