Subject: split-screen completion blues
Date: 28 Mar 1997 23:29:35 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <rj7sp1fsl9s.fsf@minbar.cs.washington.edu> (raw)
not directly a ding question, but I suspect some folks here have seen
the problem.
I read mail/news with emacs in full-screen mode, with the article on
the right 80 cols and the group / summary on the left 80 cols. I
recently started playing with xemacs, and found that when I do
completions, it sticks the completions in some window on one side or
the other (which is OK); however, it thinks the window is the 160
columns, and uses a scrollbar or truncates the text (which is
annoying). Is there anyway to ensure that the completions are
formatted for the window it's in (vs. the full screen)?
Thanks,
-Erik
