Well, this thing was going to be released on April 1., so we're behind
the schedule somewhat. Things seem to be shaping up somewhat, so
perhaps it's time to stop dawdling and just release the damn thing.
So I think I'll be doing that this week.

I just tested out the changes to the *Summary* buffer and it looked
really weird. That bug may really be squashed.

I've got 2 new bugs and 1 old bug on my list right now:
1. I was able to create a situation where moving topics (with T m)
did not remove them from the source topic, though the display
indicated that they had been moved. Since it looked as if they
had been copied instead of moved, killing them from the starting
topic was tantamount to setting them to level 9.

2. The Message Mode menu is still missing in action. Now it is being
replaced with the Mailcrypt menu. It hasn't worked for me since
it got converted to easymenu, so perhaps its just something in my
environment. There's something very ironic about this since I
can't see the tm-edit MIME menu either.

3. UUdecoding can still lose. I don't have a repeatable scenario
yet, but the basics are select a large number of articles some
straight uuencoded, some with MIME headers. What appears to
happen is that when the MIME articles are decoded (into a black
hole on a X u), the previous uudecoded message is deleted, though
Gnus still has a pseudo for it. This should never happen. I
reported this one earlier, and I thought it had been fixed, but it
    wasn't in v0.88.

And don't forget the Message-Mode toolbar ...

Regards,

I've tried some `T m'ing, and things seemed to work ok for me. Was
this with 0.89? This sort of thing could actually be the result of
XEmacs text prop bleeds before The Grand Discovery Of Start-Open.

Well, the Message mode menu seems to work ok for me, at least...

I've now disabled `gnus-article-display-hook' and
`gnus-article-prepare-hook' when `X u'ing. That should help. And
speed things up greatly.

It used to be that the last file decoded would be deleted. I think I
fixed that in the early eighties. At least I looked at it, but I
haven't done much testing of that code.

I just tried this again and it still failed. What I did was select
all the remaining groups in the ``Gnus'' topic and attempt to move
them to a (sub)topic. Instead of moving, the groups now appear twice
(I don't have the unique topic option set).

Is the ``Gnus'' topic renameable? I'd prefer to use that topic name
for groups uniquely dedicated to Gnus.

Yes, I have renamed it to "Topics". I really think that should be the
default, it would both give new users a hint about what it was all
about, and make more sense than categorize everything as a subtopic of
"Gnus".
