If I press `^' I get the error "Couldn't find parent". If I press at the message-id in the references header, I get the error `Couldn't go to article NN", where NN is negative in mail groups and a large number in nntp groups. However, the parent article exists. If I enter the group with `C-u SPC' to fetch the old articles, the parent is show in the summary buffer, and pressing `^' in the child will correctly move to the parent. This bug has been part of September Gnus for a long time.
