Is this bug fixed yet? I am still using the old rgnus-0.66 because of this
bug....

A blueburry muffin from me to the one who fixes it.... ;-)

The bug is that an older Gnus was placing messages into your
nnfolder without quoting `From ' lines inside of other messages.

You can fix it manually by editing your archive folder,
searching for `^From ', and changing ones that aren't really at the
beginning of a true message to '>From '. It's hard to fix this
automagically, although you could maybe use a heuristic since it seems
that the real ones are followed by my Sender line in my archive at
least.

Current gnus properly sticks the '>' before any embedded `From '
lines. So you shouldn't have to go through this again.

Technically speaking, no. But look at my X-Mailer: header. :-)

Yup. In the end, it took me about 10 minutes to go through 20
megabytes of mail folders. Interactive regexp searching is pretty
fast, even when you're doubling checking everything.

Mine too, but aren't the saved headers user customizable?

In nnfolder+archive, the backend I had trouble with, the only valid
`From ' lines all start off `From nobody'.

I hope so. But who knows what the early versions of Mamey Sapote Gnus
will do? :-)
