As there are no more bugs in GNUS, GNUS 5.4.39 is the final 
GNUS
release.  I have been offered a job by Microsoft Corporations doing
a
port of their visionary cc:Mail system to Windows '97 ‡‡ writing 
it in
Java as an ActiveX control for running under MSIE 5.0.  

It's been fun, but I have to go.  Jaari Aalto has offered to take
on
handling of further feature requests, and Richard Stallman will
handle
the GNUS web pages.  Please direct all future requests to them. 
This
mailing list will shut down in half an hour.

Hehe.  I might have believed it cept for the fact

Sigh.  I hate to explain a joke, especially one as masterful as this
one.  Lars, I hope you intend to put this one up on your web site.  It 
is as significant as Emily PostNews (which started as an April 1
posting also IIRC).

The X-Face was intentionally corrupted, just like the rest of the
message.  We had a thread dwelling on this several months ago.  To me
it looked like a house blowing up.

I haven't read anything by Swift, I'm sorry to say, so it must have
been a malicious hacker.  I mean, I would *never* actually do work.
