	Well, defadvice wraps the documention function for it's own
uses, you could use defadvice to wrapper it also (just in closer to the
original).  Then look up the doc string the same way as the other
strings.  You'd then probably want to change the elisp files to only
have small doc strings, like "Gnus document: gnus-group-update-group",
with the rest of it in the conversion file.
