I have the bad habit of creating a nnml group with B m from time to time.

Problem one: It doesn't show up in the group buffer at all, and I have
to get it via browse (all the Ks, you know), or with a manual G m
afterwards.

Problem two: Why does it go out and check my newsserver for the
presence of the group?

What happens if you do `F'?

Sorry to interrupt :-)

Unfortunately, I don't get the group anywhere, not even as a zombie,
except when browsing the foreign server, neither with 'F' nor without.

Now this may be dependent on my config settings, which have
accumulated over the years ...

I just found all my old lost groups by manually walking through the
server browse buffer and trying 'u' on each line. Interesting.

Any ideas?

This does nothing. The group created by 'B m' is immediately stuffed into
the Zombies. 'F' in the *Group* buffer claims there are no new newsgroups.
It only appears if I do 'A z' in the group buffer, from which I can 'u' to
toggle the subscription status.

Does stopping and starting Emacs/Gnus help any?
