Hello,
This *Tree* buffer is not read-only: at least C-d and TAB may be used in it.

I don't think this should be allowed.

Best regards,

What happens when you `C-d' or `TAB' in the buffer?

Oups, I didn't mention it:
it inserts a tab (for TAB) at the point
it deletes the char at the point (for C-d).

All this is messing up the buffer.

This doesn't happen to me, although I do remember similar problems
with the Summary buffer in the past.

I've had a peek at gnus-tree-mode, and it sets buffer-read-only to t,
so I can't explain this.

Mine's read-only, and tab/c-d do nothing if it makes you feel better.
(I finally found room to put it somewhere and turned it back on recently)
