I used to do that. Unfortunately, now days many sites reject mail based
on the From address and the fact that it didn't start at what the
@example.com's SPF record should have said it would start from. Thus, I
had to eventually switch to sending mail through servers based on where
I said I was sending mail from, rather than who I was talking to. I
tried fighting it for a while, but in the end I didn't win.
