Subject: Unable to build with /gnu/bin/emacs
Date: Sun, 19 Jan 2003 19:59:33 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <sh65slynhm.fsf@tux.gnu.franken.de> (raw)
I'm unable to build Gnus with Emacs (CVS HEAD) installed in /gnu/bin:
PATH=/gnu/bin:$PATH ./configure --prefix=/gnu \
--with-url=/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/url \
--with-emacs=/gnu/bin/emacs
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking for makeinfo... makeinfo
checking for emacs... /gnu/bin/emacs
checking if /gnu/bin/emacs is really XEmacs... cat: ./conftest-28855: No such file or directory
checking where .elc files should go... $(datadir)/emacs/site-lisp
checking where etc files should go... $(lispdir)/../etc
checking where the TeXinfo docs should go... $(prefix)/info
checking for acceptable URL version... cat: ./conftest-28855: No such file or directory
"/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/url"
checking for acceptable W3 version... cat: ./conftest-28855: No such file or directory
"no"
Wondering why configure tests for XEmacs even when saying I want to
build with Emacs...
