I used to

    (require 'jka-compr)

since a long time and I'm sure this didn't hurt once I tried to send
compressed attachements (C-c C-a) with previous pgnus version.

Using version 0.95 C-c C-c from message-mode unzips the compressed files
before base64 encoding.  The same happens with 0.97:

<#part type="application/octet-stream" filename="~/gnome-dev-info.tar.gz" disposition=attachment>

I don't think so. This bug was fixed in 0.96. Although "unzipping..."
messages show in 0.97, the file is actually not unzipped. At least, it
works for me.

BTW, there still is a bug in saving attached file when the type of the
zipped file is not "application/octet-stream".

Sorry for wasting your time.  You're right.  It didn't work with 0.95, I
updated to 0.97 and saw the "unzipping" message again...  Stupid me ;)
