Yes, the situation is repeatable. Happens with 0.18 too.
1. Mark any number of newsgroups which have ! E or other marks
2. make new group: G V some.virtual
3. move marked groups to new virtual group: G v some.virtual
--> All marks are gone. Boom :-(
