Gnus is much harder to learn than, say, the Netscape mail reader, even for someone who's Emacs-savvy. Part of is that you need to get your head around the concepts. That includes the fact that Gnus was built as a newsreader. Once you get it set, it *does* work fine as an IMAP client, and of course gives you all the Emacs features at the same time. -- Jim Davidson jdavidson @ acm.org
