Subject: Ding list moving
Date: 26 Nov 1997 12:52:29 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <ufa7m9v32tu.fsf@sina.hpc.uh.edu> (raw)

Very soon after this message goes out, the Ding list will move. Its new
home will be at the University of Houston, alongside the ding-announce and
ding-patches lists. I will be the list owner. Many thanks to Lars for his
efforts both in running the list to this date and of course for Gnus itself.

Subscribers should see little change; the ding@gnus.org address will
continue to function as always (modulo any glitches in the switchover).
The envelope sender (i.e. From_ header) will change to
owner-ding@hpc.uh.edu so if you (like me) do any filtering based upon that
header you will need to adjust your filters.

The list will be run by Majordomo; requests can as always go to
ding-request@gnus.org or majordomo@hpc.uh.edu. Keep in mind that you'll be
speaking to a machine. To speak to a human you can always talk to
owner-ding@hpc.uh.edu.

I will now send a second message to the new list. If for some reason you
do not get this message, first check any filters you have in place to make
sure it wasn't misdirected, then talk to me to make sure that your address
did not get lost in the switchover.
