Unfortunately the archive search software (Wilma) uses Glimpse as its backend, and Glimpse likes to freak and corrupt its indices and such. So occasionally the indices need to be dumped and completely regenerated. I have a partially-written replacement based on htdig, but it's nowhere near done and time is always short. - J<
