A thought: it would be nice if Gnus did one of 2 things: either (1) didn't try to open servers which were denied last time upon pressing g in the group buffer, but tried nonetheless if asked specifically to open a particular group, or (2) kept track of last time the server was really denied, and if that time exceeded a certain amount (e.g. 2 hours or something), reset the "denied" flag. Otherwise, with Gnus constantly running, I for example now and again have to go to the server buffer and un-deny my news server (which is not too reliable, unfortunately)... -- Cheers, -Dima.
