Subject: save in rmail format problem
Date: 16 Dec 1998 11:24:59 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <un24om238.fsf_-_@GlobeSet.Com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: Hrvoje Niksic's message of "16 Dec 1998 17:39:18 +0100"

In pgnus v0.65, if I type 'O r' to save a message in rmail format, I get the
following error:

Signaling: (wrong-type-argument stringp nil)
  expand-file-name(nil "~/")
  rmail-output-to-rmail-file(nil)
  byte-code(...)
  gnus-article-save(#<buffer *Gnus Save*> nil 1)
  gnus-summary-save-article(nil)
  gnus-summary-save-article-rmail(nil)
* call-interactively(gnus-summary-save-article-rmail)

V0.65 is the first version of pgnus I've run. This problem was not in 5.6.44
(which is what I was running until this weekend). The only real difference in
the saving process that I could see right off is that
gnus-default-article-saver changed from being bound to
gnus-summary-save-in-rmail to being bound to rmail-output-to-rmail-file. If I
switch back to gnus-summary-save-in-rmail everything works again. I couldn't
tell from the ChangeLog why the switch was made.
