This is a digest of four e-mails I sent to myself with various timezone settings -- all within two minutes. gnus-article-date-ut correctly decodes them into about the same universal time, but gnus-article-date-lapsed shows them with a varying amount of time elapsed time since being sent. I notice this when people from Asia send me mail -- the impossible happens and I get e-mail from the future! ------- Start of forwarded message ------- Date: Tue Nov 17 00:32:16 1998 From: Matt Armstrong Subject: Digested Articles Topics: -0800 -0700 +0000 +0900 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 17 Nov 1998 00:10:00 -0800 From: Matt Armstrong To: matta Subject: -0800 Message-ID: - -------------------------------------------------------------------- - - matta ------------------------------ Date: 17 Nov 1998 01:10:42 -0700 From: Matt Armstrong To: matta Subject: -0700 Message-ID: - -------------------------------------------------------------------- - - matta ------------------------------ Date: 17 Nov 1998 08:11:24 +0000 From: Matt Armstrong To: matta Subject: +0000 Message-ID: - -------------------------------------------------------------------- - - matta ------------------------------ Date: 17 Nov 1998 17:11:58 +0900 From: Matt Armstrong To: matta Subject: +0900 Message-ID: - -------------------------------------------------------------------- - - matta ------------------------------ End of forward1133w7w Digest **************************** ------- End of forwarded message ------- -- matta
