Hi,
just for fun I installed the XEmacs 20.4 rpm today, fired it up and started
gnus. Everything seemed to run just fine, except that my *Group* buffer now
looks like this
* *: * *
* *: * *
** *: * (*)
** *: * (*)
** *: * (*)
** *: * (*)
... instead of
0: Gnus
0: Mail
0: nndraft:drafts (1)
* 0: nnml:inbox (2)
0: nnml:outbox (2)
0: nnml:swa (2)
Any idea who could be the culprit here? I noticed that the *Summary* buffer is
hosed as well, *Article* on the other hand seems to be fine. I tried messing
with fonts and colors but to no avail.
Thanks,
Stefan.

What is your `gnus-group-line-format' variable?

gnus-group-line-format's value is "%M%S%5y: %(%-65,65g%)(%L)\n"
-- a variable declared in Lisp.
Interesting is that when I removed all references to qgnus 0.34 from my .emacs
and used the default gnus 5.5, the buffers just looked fine.
Thanks,
Stefan.

Lars> What is your `gnus-group-line-format' variable?
I found out that gnus was not the culprit -- XEmacs is. I compiled gnus with
19.16 and tried to run it with 20.4. Apparently, this screwed up gnus' fonts.
Recompiling everything with 20.4 fixed the problem.

Stefan.
